Sibbo wrote:Charlie, how much does your Picture Trail account cost ? I use it's free service but it's very limited in storage and I'm tempted to actually pay !
Gidday Peter. Yes, I started paying for the Premium account which ups the limit to 100MB, costing US$39.95 per year. There are incremental yearly costs to up the storage limit further. Once you start posting links to your photos you are kind of stuck with maintaining the account. I started with PictureTrail in 2007, and posted a lot to WBF along the way. I could go and delete some to stay within the limit, but that history would be lost.
Check out this Wikipedia article for a list of hosting sites.
It gives info on which ones are free, what restrictions are imposed and costs for upgrading to premium or pro accounts. I note that Photobucket may be one of the best for long term free hosting.
My advice would be to leave PictureTrail as is while your account is still free and start a new account with another free provider. I'll be doing that when PT demands more money.
ps: Since it costs nothing to actually post a pic once it is stored, here's a bonus pic of Brunhilde and Mt Warning, taken the day after we left your place last October.
A couple of very good points there Charlie, especially the last one .... that's something that hadn't crossed my mind ! I think I can see a way around my little problem.
Thanks mate

BTW, was the Mt Warning shot from about 10 km before Kyogle , just this side of the ridge ?
Probably. I headed via Kyogle over to Woodenbong then down to the Bandahngan Aboriginal Area, camping beside the Tooloom Falls. Great spot, by the way.

Ah now Joe, the BMW motorcycle consists of a finite number of parts. Admittedly it's a pretty big number, but finite nevertheless, and the paintables are but a small subset of that number. Just keep that in mind and push on ...

Excellent Joe, and I know of a good destination for your Spring ride.

Bylong Valley Way is a great ride!
But... Can you keep a lookout for my headlight ..reckon I lost it somewhere between Rhylstone and Bylong ...roundish looking ( well it was when I last saw it!) ,..shiney and had glass in it.must be somewhere there.
Didnt lose the taillight assembly though!.. That just hung on by the wiring loom and ended up wedged between the mudguard and ate the tread off my new back tire.
And i didnt lose my pannier either!.. that rested on the muffler when the bracket broke and melted its way through the pannier wall and my duck-down sleeping bag and a few other things..
But apart from that a great ride and great fun!!
If I could work out how to get pics into this thing, I'd show you the fencing wire fix to the headlight.. ME102 would be proud!!
Not quite... while that image shows up on the hosting website, you need to click on it and hit "view image" to get the code for it to show up here. (there needs to be a .jpg at the end for it to work)
