Got it fixed with the tap. Had to create a method for holding the tap strait, as no tool I had would clear the obstacles and allow use of a tap wrench. The thought of required engine removal in order to helicoil that hole was nerve wracking. There was only a thread that was crossed at the entrance of the hole. Glad that's over. Sometimes the simplest things can get difficult. Thanx for your thoughtful posts.
