But, but, but, Duane! Most every countrys' money is backed up with..........nothing. It's just that people don't understand its zero intrinsic value. So in essence, when you sell something of worth, such as your time and energy, you're accepting "nothing" for it!

Oops, never mind. I figured it out. Until everybody understands that currency has no real value, you'll trade your valueless money for gold!

Actually I'm doing that myself. I'm trading my essentially valueless dollars for things of value, other than gold though. You know, food, shelter, clothing, BMW motorcycles, alcoholic beverages, pornographic images, and other life's necessities.

I must be smarter than I gave myself credit for.

And Duane, you might want to go lightly on this valueless money thing you've been talking about so much. As soon as people figure it out, your gravy train collapses (to mix a metaphor). Worse, you're going to screw up a good system for me too.
