I have the copper washers on my /5, installed by me about nine years ago. Even though they were torqued to spec they've always leaked, it's actually more like a weep. If I were to do it again I'd use a little sealant. Funny Duane, I thought I remembered them being the crush type.

as a slight hijack, could someone post the torque spec on this large nut? (at the bottom of the fork legs with the copper gasket).

Rebuilding forks on my R90s at the moment.

"Lower leg bottom cap" - /5, /6, /7 up to 1980..... 59 - 74 ft.lbs
