There were 2-3 dozen 'roos just lying around the clearing adjacent to the camping area and just metres from the Alpine Way, one of our favourite motorcycling roads.
The 'roos are hard to see and this iphone video doesn't do their numbers justice.

I dunno Sibbo, this council one that I didn't steal many years ago was, is a beauty, pulled out many a nice collectable sign from the side of the road after hours in my younger years under the muffled light of a dolphin torch and still not a bend in it and that's when I was 20kgs heavier.

I had one like that, a real beauty and I paid good money for it too. Hi tensile 22 mm hex bar with a tamper end and the bloody thing fell off my truck after only 20 years of use ! You could put a 300 mm bend into it and it would spring back. Lovely and light too !

The council one some bloke dropped at the top of my driveway is the kind of thing you give to someone you think is getting skinny and lazy . Damn thing must be 30 mm thick and as strong as a noodle .

At last, ive managed to beat the antibot device and get back into this site to post.
As luck woould have it, I'm singing in a couple of concerts this weekend and thats stuffed me for joining you at Geehi!
Rode up to Corryong on Tuesday for a business meeting and the country is just as splendid as it always is.

Now that I can post again, I want to put together something of my tassie trip last month... Ya gotta go!... just so good!!

Didn't get a chance to respond to this the other day. Good to see they let you back into the asylum.
And yes, a report on your Tassie trip would be good. I wanna do a lap of the map when that is the next thing to do, and advice on good camping spots would be especially appreciated.

ps: Attending a business meeting in Corryong would seem to indicate that your retirement is a bit half-arsed in operation. I did get a call from the Corryong Hospital about refreshing their evacuation plans, so I guess I have you to thank for that. Appreciation attached.

Pete and I made it back to Bethanga at 3:30 this arvo. We went the pretty way, along the river road. Stopped for a beer at Jingellic and then did the 58kms of dirt to the Wymah Ferry. Very nice it was, with all that sunshine.
It rained all Saturday at the hut, but a strange tall thin man gave us a bunch of excellent firewood to burn. A ranger was sighted on Sunday morning. He appeared to be shielding his face from anything that might be out of place in his universe.
Bob headed off around 10-ish in full sun, heading for Naranderra, and Jeff, Pete and I headed off when we were good and ready a bit later. The dance floor and verandahs were swept clean, also by a strange tall thin man. The roads were almost dry by the time we got to Khancoban. Jeff headed off towards Albury, thinking there may be something that needed doing with a mother somewhere or other. Pete and I had a spectacular easy ride in perfect weather.
Mal and Steve - bloody good that you made it home safely, but a pity you had to do it on such a day.
Grant, well done getting your 955kms into 12.5 hours. It seems you are pleased with the Special K.
Well done everybody. Thanks for a great weekend. Must do it again soon.
