Mine's an 83 ST with a 100 GS tank, white . Not too neat but OK.

Did you give him my contact numbers Mal? I didn't know about the Canungra thing, but now I do!!!! Looks like the weather might be great on Sunday. I'll have to get up early as I like the long way to Canungra, around Mt. Warning, and that's about 200 kilometers. Might see you guys there. Hey Mal, do you have Petes mobile number?

I sent Pete phone numbers for She'llbe of Nimbin, Sibbo of Chillingham and Michael of Lillian Rock.
She'llbe, I'll text Pete's number to your little telephone.
I'd love to get to that classic bike show. Damn.

Got in touch with Pete last night. Going to miss out on a get together, he's heading back to the bleak south this AM. He said the bearings weren't such a problem, but the staple in his rear tire let him get to Eltham at his friends before it ran out of puff!!!! Got her fixed and away he goes. Always a place to rest your weary head at the Yacht Club, thanks for the numbers Charlie.

Goodo, thanks for the update She'llbe.
I'll keep an i out for him. I hope he'll make use of the Bethanga Retreat on his way south.
And I look forward to the next chance to get my head properly weary at the Mt Nardi Yacht Club.

Sorry we didn't get to meet up. I was on the GSPD Classic. Mrs Buzz decided to come for a ride (ist time in a few years) and the GS suits her better - plus the RS is on single seat rego.

Heya all,
Jeez, a man goes away for a couple of days and all manner of things are posted on a thread he's only just discovered...
Hmmm... sorry about that, guys. And, oh yeah, thanks Mal for starting the thread.
I've got a bunch of pics, so it'll take some time to get them sorted/uploaded etc. Then I can give youse some idea of The Trip. Yeah, it was fuggen fantastic - just the thing to do when you accidentally take some leave that you hadn't even had a chance to think about.
Two weeks leave... hmmm... what to do...? Well, the weather looks pretty damn good up north. So why not load up an old touring bike, clock up a few miles (pre-metric odo), and visit some old mates. Yeah, why not... It's not every day you get a chance to "go touring".

more (ie pics) to come...

Gidday Pete, glad you had a top time. Looking forward to some pics.

Er, just before you talk about your ride, are you going to the Alpine Rally next weekend?
