Pet Peve for riding gear

Yes it is nice, but I wish it had some form of venting , which I know can lead to leaks, and was available in something other in RMOB (run me over black).

Yeah black is one of my peeves. Why is most gear black or mostly black??? I live in the southeastern USA and the sun beats down like God's own hammer here. I now avoid black gear if at all possible because of how I can feel it heating-up in the sun.

EDIT: Pockets. I try to have as little stuff in my pockets as possible when riding. As you put things in your pockets, ask yourself if you want to land on those things in a get-off. Keys make nasty stab-wounds, fr'instance. One exception is the mobile phone. Put that in your jacket-pocket rather than in the tank-bag in case you and the bike go in different directions and you're too injured to crawl to where the bike went.

I have no pet peeves with my riding gear.
Belstaff Trialmaster (properly waxed, and enough big pockets to carry a good lunch),
Blundstone boots (never soaked through),
deerskin gloves ( softer and more abrasion resistant than cowhide),
and a good helmet that doesn't fog up.
