I actually saw a dude doing this years ago, on a 2 lane road, with no divider, at highway speeds. I can still remember he was standing on his seat, arms stretched out to each side, looking down (I'd be looking UP in anticipation of my next stop) so that I could only see the top of his (safety first) helmet. He was alone in his lane and at first it looked a bit like a crucifix coming down the road. I followed him in my mirrors until the next bend.

Now, that's impressive, to witness that, at the very least. One of those captive moments of life, I'd say.

I had somewhat of a similar moment some ten years ago....

I was riding the '84 RS on the way home after a usual day at work. Was in the middle of three lanes of pretty light traffic heading north a bit of Austin, Tx to home when I heard a crotch rocket quickly down-shifting along with revs dropping next to me in the inside lane.
I could tell he was paralleling me for a couple of seconds. We were doing 60 mph at the time. At the moment I glanced over and sort of nodded, I heard his bike instantly wail into celestial rpms, with the front wheel going aloft some two or three feet during the heavy acceleration. Within the next few hand-full's of seconds, the screaming mass riding on the back wheel disappeared down the road totally out of view. This all easily took less than ten seconds.
