Brand new old pile of junk...

Post by dougie »

And (he said sheepishly  ) not a BMW.
I lusted after one of these when I was a teenager.
Never owned one, and never even rode one.
I do remember a fellow who rode a Triumph 500 not being able to shake one off his tale saying "What the hell are those things?
It's a complete mess. Neglected, missing parts, stripped threads. etc.
And I paid waaaayyyy too much for it, but I wanted one.

1965 Honda CB77 Superhawk.

I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

I was considering a CB450 as well, until I remembered how heavy they were. 412 lbs. dry.

It's going to take a very long time.
Not sure it will be "restoration". Perhaps more like build myself a bike.
Of course keep that tank, it's iconic.
