This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

All they had was black. It has a lot of bright highlights and reflective material though.
I am a big believer in fluorescent orange or green. Reflective material is good at night, but not so much in the day time. It also mucks up flash photography a lot, but I don't suppose that is a big deal. I don't wear armor on my bicycle, but I usually wear fluorescent colors. At least to my eyes, they really stand out. Someone on one of the earlier threads referred to RMTFO black, which I got a kick out of.
On a bicycle flashing red LEDs are the best, 2 out of sync is even better. I failed to see a woman on a bike recently , dressed in oh so cool black just on twilight and just missed her. I flagged her down and politely suggested LEDs . She kinda agreed .

I use electronic preventatives that do save me on occasion. They certainly earn their keep.

I am a true believer as well and my being alive is a testament to that, but I like to hedge my bets.
Can't argue with that logic. I keep a hi viz shoulder belt under my seat in case it gets foggy.

They seem expensive until you check out the cost of a single 100 mph ticket (plus towing and storage if they arrest you and impound your bike). Detectors start to sound incredibly cheap.

The downside is, I don't get to meet my local police officers...dam.

And there is a new trend for younger riders not to warn about speed traps! This does not bode well for the future of humanity.

Illegal here in Oz, but maybe not West Oz?

They make them undetectable. You just have to hide them. All you need to see is a few high powered LEDs. Mine are so brite they hurt if I'm not careful. At night I have to move them out of line of sight.

Next I want a lazer Jammer I can move from bike to bike. Better yet they should just leave me alone if I am in control and riding well. Speed is relative and a douche bag on a tiddler at the limit can be much more dangerous to himself and others than a skilled rider on a GS 1200 at twice the limit....much much more dangerous. How about reality? Is it really so out of style? :(
