Dead on the road - Ignition? Coils? Condenser?

What failed? A Dyna III ignition or a Dyna booster? As I understand it, these are two different things. A Dyna III replaces points/condenser while a Dyna booster is used in conjunction with points/condenser.

My Dyna 3 has a control module... which I'm not sure exactly how it works... but it looks just like the booster with less wires.
But the booster is what failed me on one bike.
The Dyna3 and it's components are working fine on the other.
