It has been a few years, but if I remember (big if :?: ) ---
I supported the engine, removed the front engine mount bolt, and wiggled/tapped out the spacer/spring-holder (#6). I might have levered the frame away from the engine slightly to release its grip on the spacer.
The stand slides off the pin (#11) which is embedded in the frame. Again I might have had to lift the front of the engine a little to allow clearance for the stand to slide off.
I put the spacer (#6) back in, re-installed the front mounting bolt, and best of all - installed a Surefoot sidestand. :)

I put the motor in before installing the sidestand and was able to mount same stock sidestand without removing the motor. Removed left front motor mount nut, slid bolt to the right, wiggled spacer out, mounted sidestand, put everything else back. /6 with an extra deep MAC sump.

I just put a brown sidestand on my bike as well. I left the original on to maintain originality, ha ha ha ha.

Add a chain or the like to deploy both at the same time. (the start of a Rube Goldberg machine!)
