Good route, Mal. We all love a good route. Could also include the Warrumbungles, via Gulargambone, for a bit of 'roo dodging, though the 'Bungles will be pretty crowded on a long weekend.
In 2009 I camped at the Tia Falls campsite, off the Oxley Highway about 40kms south-east of Walcha.
The A shows the Tia Falls Road - it is about 7kms of dirt to the campsite. A nice spot with tables and dunnies (and falls) ...

That's a good site Sibbo. Native Dog Campground on the Guyra- Ebor Road sounds like an option if we choose to meet more North.

The write up says-
" I have camped here a number of times on my way through the area, and prefer this site over the more popular Barokee campground, due to extra space / privacy."
I like the look of Charlie's campsite too. If we have some alternatives we can vote on it closer to the event.
Any interest from the Queenslandians Buzz?

Met up with a few of them at the Ruptured Budgie Rally last weekend. Unfortunately there was a bit too much cheery banter going on to ask a serious question and to expect any intelligible response. Expecially after I dropped the GSPD in the sand in the middle of their camp.
I will keep you informed. I did ask Steve R (R100RS JPS) to check out the Native Dog Campground as he passed on his way home to Coffs and report back. I'm not sure if he will have remembered I asked him though.

Pictures. C'mon Gary, we need pictures. Not much riding going on down here. Max temp today is 13C.
Plenty of time to fill until Spring, and a little thread drift would do no harm.
Especially if it involves motorcycles and rallies and such.
Speaking of which, it is only couple of weeks till the Alpine Rally - Friday June 7 to Monday June 10 - at Yarrangobilly this year. I'm already packing. I know Jeff's going, and Pete. And the Beechworth and Benalla mobs are bound to be there. I wonder who else might be thinking of going?

Me am thinking. Provided conditions are crisp, rather than soggy, I will be there.

That's great Mal.
Look on the bright side, if things start soggy they will sure as hell end up crisp.

Beemer goodness and a Carberry tragedy. Should we all be carrying fire extinguishers? It would be horrible to watch one's pride and joy going up in flames. A little Dry Powder extinguisher used in the first 15 seconds could have saved that machine.
Looks like a great spot, and yer've gotta love the accommodations. That single club lounge looks like it would fit me pretty well. Thanks Gary.

Egads! What a waste of a classy machine.
I have had a campsite recommendation from someone local to the area.
Platypus Flats in Cathedral NP. River, BBQ, not too popular, and no fees.
