It needs a different colour speedo needle by the looks if it. White on white? Can't help.

Airhead speedos are notoriously inaccurate anyway.

The main reason, I wanted to keep the police speedo. it is the first BM speedo that is very accurate.

It would be very easy to paint the needle a matte black or any color you'd like, probably only taking an hour to do so.
Just follow these simple steps on my gallery site to open up the instrument cluster.....

Just follow photos 1 thru 4, then photo 8 is in your hands. Use a sheet of notebook paper, make a five inch cut and slip it between the needle and speedo face. I'd use a spray can and give it a couple of gentle sprays. Put it back together and away you go....

Yes, I agree about painting the needle an add the job to the too do list. I have had the cluster apart a few times to fix the broken copper contacts for the idiot lights.

I use one of the US 80mph speedos. They're reasonable too.

Had a spare hour or so. I pulled the speedo apart and painted the needle black and the red graduations black. Far easier to read now :geek:

That R100CS is so pretty.

Too bad that it has "those" problems. I will offer that you ship it here and I will take care of it for you. Send it in your off season and my testing should prove it out by the start of your next riding season.

You don't need to go gushing all over the place with gratitude, I am just that kind of guy.
