IMNSHO this is what we need:


Taylor 500cc:

Air/oil cooled long stroke, inertia conserving, 270 degree parallel twin, 500cc 60 hp all purpose motorcycle:

Modular design allows roadster British look ala 1970 Triumph TR6, converts to dual sport application.


Quick release accessories include:

-Hard and soft luggage

-Center stand

-Fuel tanks available in 13, 18, 25 litre. quick swappable with quick realease fuel lines.

-Luggage rack and case racks

-Fairing or windshield.

-Light weight effective crash protection will not damage frame in most get offs..


Mechanical features:

-Grease fittings at all moving frame attachments including tapered steering head bearings with auto rotating races. Pressure release valve grease seals.

-Hydraulic (option) or lock nut tappet adjusters. 

-Kick and electric start.

-Oil in frame 4 litres, but is safe to run with 2 liters. Frame is designed as an integral oil cooler. 

-Redundant ignition system. Low tech, compact, heavy duty, lifetime sealed protection. 

-All electronics waterproof to 10 meters from Nippon Denso Japan Marine . All lights upgradable LED. 

-Ultra lightweight Lithium battery with battery management system. Emergency starting system uses under seat compressor battery for boost.

-Brushless 600 watt permanent magnet alternator.

-Power jacks at 4 locations with USB sealed charging points. Any power jack can be used as security secret kill switch. One switch included.

-All bolts thread into steel inserts. All torque specs for greased lubricated fasteners.

-Fasteners standardized to use as few tools as possible. Mostly hex (allen head)

-Available with FI, or carburation for "off road" applications. Full wiring harness included for both models. 

-Corrosion protected silicon booted caliper, lightweight disc brakes.

-Easily adjusted tooless, manual, fully adjustable suspension.  

-Quick change wheels included with rim locks, tubeless high nickel stainless straight spoke rims.

-6 speed transmission with bull low and overdrive top gear. 

-Standard seamless stainless lightweight exhaust, performance tuned. Better quality than aftermarket, and tested to be crash proof for most low speed get offs. Nice exhaust tone (Like Guzzi) without loud volume. 

-Stand off points keep components from touching in most low speed get offs and tip overs.

-Auto chain oiler cleaner. Optional enclosed chain system, non O ring chain runs in oil bath.

-Seat (hinged locked mounting) only has a dense 1 inch foam layer under multi chambered inflatable seat cover. Can be set for comfort of the individual. The rest of the seat volume is waterproof tool storage with built in lithium battery run compressor that charges while running. Full titanium tool kit available. No other tools required for servicing. 

-Uses standard high grade standard automotive filters. Large volume water proof air filter box requires no modification for performance.

-Effective efficient fully adjustable heated grips. Can replace handgrips without changing heating elements.

-Stain proof "paper" service manual (fits unseat in sleeve), with included interactive memory stick manual,that reads, wipes and interprets fault codes.

-380 pd curb base weight including all liquids except fuel.

I'd like it. I've thought about getting one of those cranks for my Bonneville, but it's a lot of trouble.

Can we get at least 50 hp with that setup?
