Not bad at all. I'd like to try one. 750 too, might not be anemic.

Thanks for that Garnet. It really puts things into perspective. I had been wondering, Hmm . . . . . , Ural, surely they aren't as bad as they were reported to be in the past. Any new decent sized motorcycle costs way more than that nowadays. . . . . . Not that I would ever seriously consider buying one.

Then I looked at the R100R, used but low mileage, for less money. Suddenly it was a no brainer. I would lots rather spend my money on that bike!!!

Which reminds me, That's just like Veg's old airhead. Where the hell is he anyhow? Surely he can't be spending all this time in his Lotus.

One must add in the reliability aspect. I have heard that they are fast approaching the reliability of the /2. Not so bad. Only 55 years behind the Krauts.

At the Motorcycle show in San Francisco in 1967 I met the Ural factory rep. They were making a copy of the R71 then. Let me see, the Ruskies have technically advanced some 20 years in the past 40+.

At that rate, when will they catch up?
Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.
