Hello all. New to the forum. I have owned a 1982 R100RS since 2008. I recently purchased an oilhead and need to cull the herd. During the time I have owned it the RS was gone thru extensively. I installed all new cables, brakes, tires, most of the engine seals, wheel bearings, and did a recent tune up with oil change in engine, trans and diff. It runs and ride great. The bike has a custom paint job in Midnight Blue Imron paint, which is a two part epoxy like used on aircraft. It looks dark blue or purple in the sun and almost black in the shadows. No history of crashes. The exhaust is a stainless StainTune system that looks and sounds like stock but does not rust out. New battery last year. Bike has about 40k on it.
I have been looking at asking prices for R100RS bikes on FB and other market places and they are crazy high. My question to the forum is this: What is a typical value for an old Airhead R100RS these days?

The first question has to be "Where are you". The answer may be very different dependant on your location.
