Cool New Tool from Cycle Works

Just perusing the Cycle Works website and found this in the Airhead 1970-95 Tools section: http://www.cycleworks.net/index.php?mai ... cts_id=367 ...a new tool for pulling and installing the timing cover and the timing gears and bearing, without heating and beating. Like the caption says, put away that hammer!

The odd time heat is required to remove the crank gear even when using the proper BMW puller.
No tools are required to install a properly heated crank gear, they usually slide right on.

You get lots of washers and bolts with the tool for only $144.

I'm betting a lot of that $144 has to do with that fancy split piece with the cut-outs.

Nice tool... But complicated and real expensive
