Harvest Classic rally in Luckenbach, Texas

Post by Unclviny »

Back home from the Harvest Classic rally, I put 646 miles on the 1973 BMW R75/5 and it ran like... a BMW.

Harvest Classic rally in Luckenbach, Texas

I need to do a better job of communicating with others when attending events. There are a number of Austin area members of the Forum that attend Harvest Classic. Next year we need to coordinate a gathering. In the mean time, dwerbil has a number of photos on his web site.

I was there as well - crazy roosters at Luckenbach need to learn to tell time! I posted event info at this site: http://twtex.com/ coming here for airhead related info.

That was my 4th Harvest Classic. I love the trials, enjoy the bike display, really enjoyed the movie this year. But not them roosters!

I didn't see anybody with R65 shirts or hats, but I did see quite a few (yes, "passel" is a good Texas term, rightly used) of older airheads - including a couple camped next to me. An old R75 and an older thumper.

My '73 Toaster was in the bike show, next to the red Moto-Guzzi ex-police-bike. I had a huge time!
