Warning....Oil question. Enter at own risk

Well I'm running out of my stash of Mobile 1 15W-50. This is the old stuff that is real group 4 ester synthetic. Been running this stuff since it was first available. Bike runs sweet. Now with the success of that Castrol lawsuit, all the oil companies are allowed to sell us North Americans group 3 dino based oil and label them as full synthetic. For the little amount that Airheads take, and the results I personally have experienced, I'd like to continue on with a Group 4. Problem is I don't see any around in a 15w-50 or 20W50. BTW I'm not saying that Dino oils are not good oils. If Rob wants to ban me then:

My F650 GS ran hot, real hot,140/160. Castrols best looked like treacle after 500 km, black and oxidized.

My local shop is a Aprilla dealer, and they stock Motul oils. Their group four comes in a 20/50 and it handled the heat of the GS fine , which gave me confidence that the rest of the oil was up to standard too.

The guys with the flat tappet air cooled sports cars used to recommend M1 for their expensive toys, but after it was reformulated they have switched to something else, maybe the top Maxima.

What about Amsoil? I think it is still POA based but don't know for sure.

The local rep is a straight shooter and will tell you.

BTW I thought that some of the Mobil 1 (expensive) was still group 4, but I have no idea how you'd tell.

None of the mainstream oil consumer websites give any usable specs.

I'm sure it's good but it's treated dino oil. Shouldn't be as expensive as it is. But maybe an option!

Most of the high performance bike people seem to love Motul.

All the "little guys" make the real stuff: Redline, Spectro, Motul, Amsoil.
