I love MI, but $671.00 for an ignition without adjustable curves? I'd go with a Silent Hektik or an Omega before that.
I'm still looking into the light weight pistons for an R90/6 or S. I can't get them to tell me what compression is on them.

That's the same kit Siebenrock sells. You still have to bore out the block to 97mm. I wish someone would make 900cc or 950cc nikasil cylinders. 1000cc cylinders leave too little aluminum at the base to be machined down to an early 97mm block.
I was wondering if a R60/5 cylinder with the iron liner removed could be bored to 90mm and Nikasil plated.

I'm confused, (normal for me) but I thought the early blocks are 97mm, and these cylinders are turned down from 99mm to fit. This is a better view:

I have a set of 900 cylinders that have bored out by SJ BMW to take std R100 pistons. The spigots are about 1.5mm thick and look like the pics from Bayer.

It does say drilled out to 97mm. I read this before as drilled to 99mm in the Siebenrock catalog.
I guess you're right. Are your SanJose Barrels Iron lined or all aluminum?
$1100.00 dollars puts them out of range. I wonder if you can just get the barrels?

My cylinders are iron lined from an R90. I thought I had some pics online but I can't find them. I'll post some when I get home tonight.

They are about 671 E without the VAT which makes them about $940 USD, plus frieght of course.

Any idea what the compression ratio is on that pre 9/75 1000cc kit?

No, but a lot of their power kits are in the mid to upper 9 to 1 range, and they say 64 hp without mods so it would have to be higher than just 9.

Send them an email, I'm sure they'd be happy to tell you that they come pairs.

Thanks for the pics. They look great. Imagine how delicate aluminum cylinder feet would be on the nicasil 97mm kit. I hope the Germans pack them well for shipping.
If you don't mind me asking, what is San Jose BMW charging for the extra 4mm bore on iron lined R90 cylinders?
What piston and head combination do you plan to use?
