New old comparo

Post by Zombie Master »

I haven't taken the old R100S out for a few months. Guess I'm into riding my KTM SMT (super moto touring). It is quite a machine to ride, really a pleasure, sweet 75degree V-twin with lots of torque that will pull full throttle at 2000 RPM and stop whenever and wherever you choose. But today I took out the Old bike. I keep it in good condition, I've had it for 30 years and the fact is: it really performs. No fuel pumps, injectors, no rads or fans, no computer. I can set the check the valves in my good clothes in 20 minutes, If it had a points and condenser ignition, it would be perfect.

What's with the drum brake and plastic airbox? I don't think I've seen that combo before.

I think the rear disc was a RS/RT thing Jeff. The post '80 R100CS had a drum too.

And my '87 RS had a drum rear.
I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

They went missing too, a while back.
Haven't got 'em as well by chance?
