Rear shocks mount conversion help

I want to do a modification that I have seen on a few other airheads. I want to remove the sub-frame and install new longer shocks pivoting the tops forward to mount where the old sub-frame bolted to the frame. I cant find any info on the shocks I need to use and if I have to reinforce the frame at the top mounts. Anyone know anything about this mod please let me know. Thanks.
