WHAT MAKES IS THE // 7 AIRHEAD GOOD ?

Maybe was it cause the quiter rockers and the stiffer frame from 1976-77 and on .
SO CAL. WE RIDE ALL YEAR LONG

there were a bunch of little updates for 77 models. for one the updated starter with 9 teeth.
what exactly is the change to rockers affecting /7 models?

Are you asking about /7 models or 1977 models or ??????

Also, if you're asking about /7 models do you really mean the models that explicitly have the /7 in their "name" (e.g., R100/7) or are you, more generally, asking about the epoch (as in /5, /6, /7)?

The "quieter" rockers didn't appear until the 1980s if what you are referring to are the rockers that do NOT have the buttons pressed into the heads but DO have the plastic thrust inserts along with steel shims.
