First start on '73 R75/5, Idles too high.

Rebuilt both of the Bing 32mm Carbs - they were a mess. Went slow and took my time, replaced the diaphragms, all o-rings and gaskets, cleaned out the sludge from the bike sitting for almost 10 years. How to deal with oxidation on engine cases?

Any tips on how to make this look better without removing the engine from the frame and getting into media blasting, etc.

I read this thread and went out and mixed this brew up if ATF and Acetone today for the stuck slides in my Bings on the '73 R75/5. It worked like a champ. First Post and First Time Airhead Owner

Looks like a great forum, I'll be coming here for advice, I'm sure. Just brought this home yesterday, a 1973 R75/5 LWB with 27K original miles on it.
