Sargent's sells replacement foam for the /5 but the sales rep wasn't sure which foam for the seat pan. Its a '71 60/5 (SWB) and the vinyl is ribbed, not smooth. Sargents sells foam for the 69 - 71 years and for the 72 - 73 SWB model years. As far as I know the seat pan is original.
Help?
Thanks.

centerstand
Looking to buy a used /5, /6 centerstand in good shape. Tang unnecessary, surface rust okay, metal should be solid, no weird bends.
Send a photo, price and shipping costs to 06002.
Thanks.

WTB: /5 centerstand
I'm looking for a centerstand. Tang unnecessary but the rest of the metal should be solid. No weird bends. Surface rust okay. Just so I can get the bike up high enough to drop the oil pan.

seat foam and recovering
/5 swb seat. The cover is usable but the foam is not. Any advice on where to buy seat foam? Also, any advice on the seat recovering process? I'll probably need new tacks/nails for attaching the cover, too.
Thanks for your help.

Re: electronic ignition
Thanks to all for opinions, thoughts, recommendations. Anything else before I make a decision? The bike was (originally) a '72 75/5, since been cobbled together with /6 and /7 parts, bored to 800cc, no lowering of compression (I think, at least we didn't install the base gaskets during the top end r...

Re: electronic ignition
Well, thanks again. I see I've found a forum of reasonable and articulate riders. I'll try not to bring down the level of discussion too much.

Re: electronic ignition
Thanks to all. The Omega is appreciably higher priced. Is it that much better?

electronic ignition
1972 75/5 originally, now bored to 800, top end done over 7k miles ago, charging system upgraded to 240w, Thunderchild diode board, electronic voltage regulator, Accel coils. I think the next purchase and install will be an electronic ignition. Any recommendations for Dyna or Boyer? Amy warnings/cav...
