Ah now Rob, I think you just have to arrive by air and disappear into the suburbs. Arriving by boat from the northwest is a totally different matter. People who try that end up on a prison island in the Pacific, apparently forever.Rob wrote: It is posts like these that keep me coming back to this thread, even though I doubt I will ever see Australia in person.

Well Brad, you almost got it. Once you have done that part you have to add that number - let's call it 'x' - to the number on the other side of the thermometer - the one under the letter 'F'. Stay with me now, you are almost there. Next, subtract x. This gives you american temperature with perfect accuracy. Simple, eh?bbelk wrote:thats f$%#*ing cold. It's Sprummer here, so the fekkin' blackberries are in their "let's gain some more territory" phase. I have a tsunami of the bastards rolling over my fence from the creek reserve at the moment. They fruit in late January when it's as dry as a dead dingo's donger. Only the ones with their toes in a permanent stream will give any decent fruit, but I know a spot where it's possible to get a bucket or two easily, and I do love 'em.Sibbo wrote:Is it blackberry season for you blokes yet?
