I must say that among the many great things about Buell XB ownership is the OHV & hydraulic lifter design which makes valve adjustments a moot point. Of course, those lifters occasionally collapse necessitating getting down to the crankcase to resolve!

Valve adjustment are in no way a moot point. I own a KTM, and they are a pain in the ass.

What do you mean? Your valve adjustments are cake. Try a Desmo.

I don't doubt your KTM is a PITA; my comment was limited to my XB which has no provision or requirement for valve adjustments, hence a moot point for anyone who owns one.

Any motor where the valves are supposed to be adjusted hot is bad.
