Hi Joan, I just got back on the site here after being away for a while. I am absolutely thrilled that you have your dream bike now. And I get the impression that you are doing some nice 'iron-butting' on it.

After my next trip back to Oklahoma that 82 R100RS will be back in Boise, from where you drove it to Big Cedar, Oklahoma. 2 days and over 1,600 miles! I was then and remain impressed!

I'm out of commission for a while having had one cataract operation which had to have a re-do. One more eye to go.
It sure is bright outside and the sky is sure blue! It will be a while but "Bigger" is fairly shouting at me to go for a ride and my '77S bike is pouting in the Den.

Joan, while you are goofing off here could you tell something of your brewing operation (somebody mentioned above).

My partner and I have just passed the 18,000 mark - that is, we have bottled 18k 'stubbies' (Oz 350ml bottles). Naturally we have no idea where they have all gone.

I can't find a picture of Blueberry sporting her pony-keg saddlebags.

No, I'm lazy. I use commercial mixes from Australia's best brewing company - Coopers. Perhaps one day I'll get into grains but for now I like the very predictable results i'm getting.

Partial grain? I've never been brave enough to try all grain myself, but I've made 5 gallon batches that had as much as 4 lbs of grain along with the malt syrup. I don't know how much starch I'm managing to convert to sugar in that grain, but it certainly has a tremendous impact on flavor.

Ah, but bottling is such a time-consuming and messy process that I see keg brewing as the lazy answer.
