Re: Spring buds run - Oz Boxerworks
I'm at my daughter's place on the central coast of NSW at the moment, but planning to head northwest-ish tomorrow. It's bloody hot here - 30C. Had to take the liner out of me jacket today when we went for a ride. My grandson is 18 and riding his first bike - a Suzuki cruiser thingy. He's a good natural rider, and appropriately cautious. Of course, I've been trying to offer a bit of education about how BMWs are cool, and that it is possible that cruisers aren't quite as cool. His mum is and always will be a 'cruiser girl' and is totally cool in her own right, so no hope there. But this young bloke is open to suggestions; he wants to get a bike that will make a good 'cafe' machine. I've been showing him pics of Airhead Cafes, so we'll see what happens.

Gidday Fellas,
Wonderful read Charlie - Four days and nights beside that stone fireplace with a good book, that'll do it for me!
Keep the stories coming and safe riding!

Hey, Gidday Grant. Nice to see you. Yeah, that hut is a bit special.
I'm at Walcha now, about to do the famous Walcha to Wauhope Road. It's famous for the number of 'Motorcycle High Risk Area' signs, and the number of shrines to dead motorcyclists. My kind of road.
Yesterday was a shitty one, with temps in the high 30s, gale force winds and a total fire ban. I camped not far from the Taree bush fires. Today is utterly perfect. Tricky thing is to find enough space to pack all the cold-weather gear I was wearing last week. Brunhilde is enjoying it all, taking it in her stride, so to speak.

I'm just back from a 4 day camping excursion with SWMBO and darling granddaughter, we offed to a Nat Park called Mt Barney and arrived just in time to see the mountain in flames and choking billows of smoke down in the valleys . There were no mosquitos despite the 34 C on the first day ... then thankfully cooling.Airbear wrote:Hey, Gidday Grant. Nice to see you. Yeah, that hut is a bit special.
