I put another day on my R65 running around back roads at below 50 MPH. It is running flawlessly and its paid for.

I personally noticed no vibration. The only thing lacking for me was cruise control. Funny, my girl friend and I rode my /7 this weekend and she said she really missed the F800GT. That coming form a lady who rides with me on my 99 K1200LT, 78 R100/7, 92 R100RT, and from time to time a 97 Honda 250 Nighthawk. She likes the fact she can see over me and she can also see the mirrors. I must say I prefer the 800 also, just can't afford a new bike. I wonder how the V-Stroms compare?

I understand the V-Stroms are very nice performing motorcycles, but when I sat on one, I found the bike to just ooze "cheap." I wouldn't be able to get past that.

I took a Suzy DR 650 ...brand new and 4 year old BMW G650 Crosscountry with 10000 km on it for test rides on the same day . The DR felt like a farm implement, a good farm implement but with minimal finish and attention to detail . The Cross Country felt SO much better, really well worked out and detailed !
