Is there a consensus how often this should be done? I did mine with moly about 20K miles ago. Do I need to take this apart now?

That's what I think too. When I saw 20k miles, the first thing I thought was "in 4 years? In 20 years?"
20k isn't nearly far enough to worry about it . . . unless it took you over 10 years to do that 20k. THEN it would be time.

I did one first because the bike was new to me. Then I had the gearbox go out, so did it when I put everything back together. Then my clutch went out, so I did it again. Then last year that stupid pawl spring broke, so I had to pull the gearbox again and replace that. I've been lubing mine way more often than 20,000 miles, I think... The splines always looks OK, though.
How long ago was 20,000 miles?

The lube sort of dries out and doesn't do my lubing after some time. Let us know what you find so that we can judge our schedule with that particular lube.

ME 109, I often don't know what you are talking about, so I just ask Diane and she makes me blush.
