I have used my home made baking soda blaster to remove corrosion from the engine cases as well as the wheels. The link to the blaster is on the thread on the DelOrto carbs. Works especially good on carburetor bodies, shines them right up. environmentally friendly too.

Wow !.What a clean up you have in front of you :o , here's me thinking my shed is dirty when a few leaves get blown in when the door is open. Sorry to hijake the thread BUT the red hydraulic Bike /ATV lift , do you use that to lift up your BM ?. Iv'e been offered one really cheap ,there nice and small for storage wise.

I have a similar lift, but I've only used it with the (somewhat incomplete) 850 Yamaha so far. That bike should be back on it's wheels soon and I'll find out if it works with an Airhead. I see no reason why not.

When you blast outside, not too big of a mess. Be sure to wear a facemask, I didn't and I could feel it in my lungs.

Hi melville. Ok iv'e read the complete story, and i'm amazed that your'e still alive !. The nose bleed doesn't sound good either, i hope Steve D stepped in had a serious talk to you over this ?. Regarding the hydraulic lift when you do have a play with on the BM, would you mind getting back to me please.

Again, not my Soviet two-stroke!

The lift works well on the Yammie, which presently has no stands or exhaust mounted on it. I think that the stands, more than anything else, might be the limitation on the Airhead.
