I have one of those and it is good ,although it seems to need constant adjustment .

That screw looks great ! I just checked Tilly and there is a nice hole where there should be a bolt . I'll ring Munich ,it looks as though it might be worth $18 .

Thanks fellas !
Push bike inner tube cut and fitted to the twist grip stops mine from moving.

A combination of the factory throttle screw and lighter weight carb springs was what I needed. With the lighter springs, I was able to back off on the drag from the throttle screw. Much more pleasant and easier to maintain speed.

I have one of Bill Schneider's Flip-a-Lever Throttle Control thingys. It works like the factory friction lock, except it can be locked and unlocked with a lever. Sorry I don't have a picture. Its dark outside. Anyway, it is a simple and functional device, but evidently is not available anymore.

Then there's this thing too.

I've heard of people using an O-ring in the same way. The disadvantage for both is that you can't easily "turn it off."

instead of the screw, how about the old flip-a-lever. they seem to be out of business, but you'll find them on ebay

i have them on all my airheads. they allow you to easily turn them off when you want.
